The Poudre Trail
Pronounced poo-der, this trail is a FoCo favorite. It’s a wide concrete bike path that parallels the Poudre River and only crosses one road (Taft Hill). We love to incorporate the whole trail into long runs during marathon season and often hit up the faster parts for long workouts. And since the City does a great job plowing the snow it’s runnable year round. While the trail is over 9 miles long through Fort Collins, we’re showing just our favorite section in this map. As a bonus, you can add in some dirt trails around the North Shields Ponds Natural Area, McMurry Natural Area and Salyer Natural Area.
